Using songs, stories and interactive activities, Le Petite French school baby and toddler classes take place during term time in locations across Devon and Somerset.
Online classes, accessible whatever your location, can be fitted in around your own schedule and use La Petite French School’s unique methods to engage and involve the young students during every session.
We also bring La Petite French School sessions to nurseries and playgroups as well as providing group sessions for home educators or schools.

Baby & Toddler Classes
Our unique classes use classic French nursery rhymes, as well as our own interactive songs and games to make every session fun for both the children and their adults!
Each 40 minute session guides the group through a new topic such as the seasons, family, colours and animals, learning a range of essential French vocabulary along the way.
These classes are suitable whatever the child’s background, with both English speaking and multilingual families enjoying the benefits learning a second language brings.
Each Lesson has the same structured routine providing a balance between play and rest avoiding over or under-stimulation. Short play breaks give the babies time to play together and you, the opportunity to meet other parents.
La Petite French School follows the school terms. A full term of 12 classes and accompanying flashcards, game, colouring activity or book costs £95 payable in advance to hold your place. For additional siblings, the price is reduced to £65.

Online Classes
Our online sessions offer the same learning opportunities, fun and interaction as our regular baby and toddler classes but from the comfort of your own home.
Perfect for anyone not in located in the South West England or who is simply unable to attend classes in person.
You can attend live sessions via Zoom or catch up with the Zoom recordings at a time to suit you, making them the ideal option for fitting in around a busy schedule.

Each week is a new topic to explore using stories, songs, craft activities and cookery classes.
You are also invited to join the private Facebook group where you can find out what’s coming up this week, access Zoom session recordings, share photos of your child’s creations and connect with other parents in your class.
Online Classes are currently running Monday at 2pm and Tuesday to Saturday at 10am.

£4 per 20 minute live Zoom session
£10 per month for full access to all Zoom session recordings

Nurseries & Playgroups
La Petite French School offers unique, fun and interactive French classes through nurseries and playgroups throughout Devon and Somerset.
Typically our experienced and native French speakers offer short sessions, ranging from 20 to 40 minutes, for a range of ages. With French now being taught in primary schools, this early exposure to the language is proven to give students a head-start.
The benefits of learning a second language range from improved social interaction to stronger reading and writing skills. By offering French classes in nurseries and playgroups, we are proud to be able to share these benefits with even more babies and toddlers.

Home Educators
Supporting your child through learning a second language can be a daunting prospect. That’s where La Petite French School steps in, offering small group sessions to home educators where your child can learn from native French speakers.
A world away from the language lessons many of us experienced at school, these sessions support learning in a fun and relaxed environment.
